Charles Wilson Boone, 83, of Springfield, passed away Monday, Dec. 13 at 11:45 A.M. at his residence. Services will be conducted Thursday, Dec. 16 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Dominic Catholic Church, with Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be after 4 P.M. Wednesday, Dec. 15 at the funeral home, with a prayer service scheduled for 5 P.M.

Charles Wilson Boone, 83, 2026 Bloomfield Road, Springfield, died at 11:45 a.m. on Monday, December 13, 2010 at his residence. He was a retired farmer, a US Army veteran of World War II and a US Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph William & Angela Rose Roberts Boone. Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann Mattingly Boone; two sons, Mike Boone of Harrodsburg and John Boone of Frankfort; one brother, Benedict Boone of Lebanon; one sister, Theresa Allison of Lexington; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 16 at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Rev. Culpepper Elliott officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Christian, Justin & Peter Boone, Tommy Reddicks, Steve Goff and Thad Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Debbie, Ashleigh, Joyce & Lisa Boone, Teresa Smith and Becky Fault. Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
