She was a disabled cook from Marmet Nursing Home, member of Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church and Ladies VFW Auxiliary. Surviving; daughters, Janice Allen of Ridgeview, Mollie Hughes, Debra Barker and Drema Atkins, all of Peytona, Margaret Slone of Danville, Vickie Crone of South Charleston; son, Johnnie of Seth; mother, Cephie Halstead of Peytona; brothers, Henry Halstead, Richard Halstead and Elmer Halstead, all of Peytona, Delmer Halstead of Racine, Gene Halstead of Seth; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
