Mrs. John A. Baer died at her home in Stockwell, April 15. She was born September 4, 1857, and was married to Mr. Baer December 5, 1881. She became a member of the Christian church in January, 1882, and was a true Christian. The funeral was held Sunday morning at 10:30 o’clock, with services in the Christian church at Stockwell. Rev. J. S. Anderson of Indianapolis, conducted the services assisted by Rev. C. D. Royse. After the touching funeral oration the Women’s Relief Corps read the burial rite of that organization. The Odd Fellows attended the funeral in a body. The remains were interned in the Johnson cemetery, one mile south of Stockwell, and a large cortege of friends escorted the body to its grave.
