Mass for Miss Rita C. Thiel, 68, a Rogers Park resident, will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 6559 N. Glenwood Ave. Miss Thiel died Monday in St. Francis Hospital, Evanston. She had been a Chicago Public School teacher beginning in 1927. The last 25 years, until her retirement in 1969, were spent at Kilmer School, 6700 N. Greenview Ave. She is survived by two brothers, Ernest and Cyril, and several nieces and nephews.
