The funeral of Kenneth E. Becker, 68, of Chicopee will be Saturday in the First Central Baptist Church. He died on Tuesday at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield after being injured when his car was in collision with a truck on Route 391. The burial will be in Fairview Cemetery , and the calling hours are late Friday afternoon through the evening at Corridan Funeral Home.

He belonged to Operating Engineers Union Local 98, and worked for Springfield Steel Erectors.

He also had worked at the former Uniroyal Co. plant here, and A.G Spalding Co. (now Spalding Sports Worldwide).

Born in Olean, N.Y., he moved here in 1955. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, attended the First Central Baptist Church, and was in Moose Lodge 1849.

His wife, the former Shirley J. Green, died last year.

He leaves four daughters, Brenda S. Duclos and Linda L. LaCoste of Chicopee, Debi A. Grochmal of Derry, N.H., and Lisa A. Grimshaw of Leominster, and nine grandchildren.
