Sallie Lantz Dies Friday
SALLIE EAST LANTZ, 37, an employee of the Fabricast Division of General Motors for six years, died Friday afternoon at her home near Heltonville. She had been seriously ill for 9 months.
Funeral rites will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Heltonville Baptist Church with Rev. Stevens and Rev. Long officiating. Burial will be in the Gilgal Cemetery, north of Heltonville.
Friends may call at the Jones Funeral Home, Heltonville, and the casket will not be opened at the church.
Mrs. LANTZ was born Aug. 6, 1916 in Lawrence county to Thomas and Lottie TERRELL EAST. She was first married to FLOYD TODD, who died in May 1946 (sic, 1947). Surviving children of this marriage include Floyd TODD, Jr. of Camp Carson, Colo., Peter Ray TODD, Carl Wayne TODD and Wyona Ann TODD, all at home, and three stepchildren; Kenneth TODD, Mrs. Vivian MYERS and Mrs. Ruby McCLURE, all of Bloomington.
On Nov. 12, 1949, she was married to DOYLE LANTZ, who survives. Other survivors include her mother, Mrs. Lottie EAST FOWLER; a brother, Perry EAST, Bedford; two half sisters, Mrs. Izola TODD and Mrs. Nettie STANCOMBE of R.R. 2, Norman; a stepson, Ronald Loren LANTZ; and three half brothers, Elza HAWKINS of R.R. 2, Norman, Ira EAST of R.R. 1, Norman, and Claude EAST of Illinois.
The deceased was a member of the Henderson Creek Baptist Church.

Final rites for Mrs. SALLIE LANTZ of R.R. 2, Norman, who died Friday afternoon at the Dunn Memorial Hospital, were conducted at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Heltonville Baptist Church, with the Rev. Floyd Long and the Rev. James Stevens officiating.
“Face to Face,” “Some Time We'll Understand,” and “Living for Jesus” were sung by Marietta Robinson, Essie Blackwell, Maudie East, Lena Deckard, and Mary Stevens, with Mrs. Daisy Hinkle at the piano.
Flowers were cared for by Bertha, Velma, Clarice, Verona and Betty East; Sharon Todd, Oneta Smith, Rose and Ethel Stancombe; Jane Sue Allen; and Betty, Esta Bell, Alice Faye, Teressia, and Margaret Lantz.
Pallbearers were Earl, Raymond, Russell, Cecil, Jackie, and Harold Lantz.
Burial for Mrs. LANTZ was in Gilgal Cemetery, north of Heltonville, with the Jones Funeral Home in charge.
