Mrs. Anna Gertrude Masterson, 70, wife of Charles H. Masterson, died suddenly about 6 am Thursday in the family home, 545 E.Grand Ave. Her death was due to a heart attack.
Mrs. Masterson's maiden name was Anna Gertrude Ratliff. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Ratliff and was born in LaHarpe, Hancock county, Oct. 19, 1863 [sic]. She came with her parents to Decatur when a small child and this has been her home ever since.
She leaves her husband and one brother, Alvin Ratliff, Decatur and two sisters, Mrs.Clara A. Myers, Rapid City, S. D.and Mrs. Iris C. Wise, Decatur. She was a member of the Methodist church and the Royal Neighbors of America.
