Dorothy Nell Irby Campbell Warren, born June 26, 1922, in Nacogdoches, Texas, was called into the loving arms of our Lord on December 17, 2010.
As she has lived her life on this earth for 88 years, she will enter into the next life-eternal with a spirit so full of life and love. She's always had encouraging words for family and friends; freely giving of herself and touching the lives of all who have known her. She has been a wonderful, loving and supportive mother and sister to her six siblings; her sweet spirit will be an enduring source of strength and comfort to all for the remainder of their lives here on earth…and with God's grace, into the next.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Barham Campbell, father to her three daughters…Shirley Nell McElyea, Sue Ellen Cook and Ramona Kay Peace. She is also preceded in death by her late husband of 27 years and was a sweet and loving step-mother to his four children…Karen, Roy, Rebecca and Jeff; and by her oldest brother, Cullen Irby, who recently went to be with our Lord. She leaves behind 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She wasn't just a great mother, she was our best friend. Mother, we love you and will miss hearing your sweet laugh and receiving your loving hugs. We are so very blessed to have had a mother like you who taught us about God and the great here-after.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in Bethel Cemetery, Appleby, Texas.
