Mr. Curtiss William Cox, Sr., 71, of 2008 Mill Avenue in Eden passed away on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 at Morehead Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010 at Boone-Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Cox was born in Ridgeway, Va. on Jan. 2, 1939, a son of Raleigh and Ora Cox, both deceased. He had served as a Draper Police Officer in the late 1960s. He was retired from Fieldcrest Mills in the Canteen Department.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Gover Cox of the home; his sons, Curtiss William Cox, Jr. of Hurt, Va. and Jamie Cox of Eden; his grandchildren, Magan Cox, Savannah Cox, Keanu Cox, Ryan Cox, Christian Cox, Laken Cox and Brandon Roland; and his great grandchildren, Little Catherine and Little Natalie.
