Reva "Lou" Addison, 81, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, in Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin, surrounded by her family.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, in Riggin-Pillatsch and Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with the Rev. Ed Hoke officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association , 402 E. Plaza Drive, Suite 4, Carterville, IL 62918; or to Hospice of Southern Illinois, 204 Halfway Road, Marion, IL 62959. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.

Lou was born May 10, 1929, in Herrin to Cecil Ray and Wilma (Rudolph) Payne. She married Paul "Ed" Addison on May 25, 1951, in Herrin.

She is survived by her husband, Paul "Ed" Addison of Herrin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Jeff Brown of Du Quoin and Rhonda and Brett Huth of Ava; six grandchildren, B.J. Jones and his wife, Tanisha of Du Quoin, Toby Jones of Du Quoin, Michaela Brown of Du Quoin, Tanya Chapman of Ava, Amy Rodewald and her husband, Jesse, of Campbell Hill, and Brittany Huth of Ava; six great-grandchildren, Hayden and Aubrey Jones, Payton, Dalton and Cody Chapman, and Piper Rodewald; and several nieces and nephews.

Lou was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Denzil Glenn; and brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Jenny Payne.

She worked as a bookkeeper for Odum Concrete in Herrin for several years.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Herrin.

Lou enjoyed quilting, playing the piano, making ceramics, camping, fishing and cooking for her family.
