Mr. Conner died March 6 at his residence in Goodrich.
He was born Aug. 24, 1907 in Colmesniel, the son of Andrew Jackson Conner and Julia Elizabeth Keen.
On May 8, 1930 he married the former Birdie Mae Helmontoller in Diboll. Mr. Conner was a blacksmith for Texas Longleaf Lumber Co. and Owens Illinois Lumber Co.
Survivors include his wife, Birdie Conner of Goodrich; daughters, Octavia and husband Clifton Heiman of Coldspring, Lorene and husband Tillman Meadows of Buffalo and Maxine Hubert of Livingston; sister, Inez and husband Johnny Blalock of Corrigan; sister-in-law, Gladys Conner of Pasadena; grand-children, Gregg Heiman, Steve Heiman, Karen Willis, Pamela Ammerman, Rhonda Barton and Wayne Hubert; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Mark Ammerman, Booger Barton, Wayne Hubert, Travis Conner, Greg Heiman and Steve Heiman.
Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
