Arlington-Luther Lee Brown, 85, died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, in North Richland Hills.
Funeral: 9:30 am Saturday in Moore Funeral Home Chapel, Arlington.
Burial: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington.
Visitation: 2 to 9 pm Friday; the family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm at Moore Funeral Home.
He was born February 5, 1916 in Oak Cliff. Luther served in the U. S. Navy from 1941-1945 on the USS Enterprise, and worked and retired from Arlington Memorial Hospital after many years of faithful service in the maintenance department. Luther will be remembered mostly by all for his love of the fiddle.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Coy L. Watkins and Benny Watkins.
Survivors; Wife of 63 years, Pearl Brown; son Larry, Watkins of Texas; 12 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; 10 brothers and sisters; and many other extended family members.
( Lee's only surviving brother and sisters were Elton Brown, Evie Blagg, Ruby Ragland, Lois Upchurch, and Mary Smith. He had 11 brothers and sisters.)
