Funeral service for Leland T. Holland, 83, will be 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Don Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in Ames Cemetery, Ames, Okla.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Leland was born Aug. 9, 1927, to Mr. and Mrs. Cloyce Holland in Eldorado, Okla., and died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, in Enid, Okla.
He grew up and attended school in Eldorado, Pond Creek, Ada and Crawford, Okla.
His hobbies included horses and yard work. He was member of Western Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
Mr. Holland worked for Tinker Air Force Base as a welder in their maintenance department, retiring after 17 years.
He served his country in the United States Army during the WWII era.
Mr. Holland married Lois on Nov. 8, 1980, in Ada, Okla.
He is survived by his wife, Lois, of the home; children, Robert Holland and wife Debora of Pleasanton, Calif., Andrea Holland of Richmond, Calif., Rhealyn Holland of Redwood City, Calif., John A. Wood and wife Debra of Hennessey, Okla., and Jo Ann Cottom and husband Gearld of Ames, Okla.; siblings, Lila McColgan of Ponca City, Okla., Lucille Nabors of Elk City, Okla., Haskell Holland of Tecumseh, Okla., and Laverne Watson of Pearidge, Ark.; sister-in-law, Lou Harper of Mooreland, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Holland; and great-grandson, Joshua Nolan Wood.
