LONGO, Rose A. (nee Bal), 86, of Mount Laurel, New Jersey died Monday, December 20, 2010 at Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Center in Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly, NJ. Rose was born and raised in Belgium. She came to the Unites States in 1945 as a World War II War Bride. She became a naturalized citizen of the USA in 1953. Rose was a strong and loving person who bravely acclimated herself to a new life and country, and fought her battle with cancer for over 25 years. Always happy and with a smile. She took great pride in taking care of her home and her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 22nd from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, December 23rd from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated 11:00 AM on Thursday at Saint John Neumann RC Church in Mount Laurel. Entombment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Burlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rose may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
