The marriage of Miss Helen M. Estabrook to Vaughn G. Bates was solemnized Wednesday afternoon Dec. 27, at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Houlton, Rev. David Jenkins officiating, the double ring service being used. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Estabrook of this town and was graduated from Ricker Classical Institute in 1929 and has been living at home. She wore a blue crepe ensemble with accessories to match. The groom is the son of Charles Bates and the late Mrs. Bates of Patten and is in the U.S. Navy. They were attended by the brides sister and the groom's brother., Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Bates of this town. They left for Washington, D.C. for a few months.
