By an extended process of elimination the widow Hannah Cobb was undoubtedly the 60-69 year old female enumerated in the June 1830 household of her daughter and son-in-law Grove and Mary "Polly" (Cobb) Stoddard at the Town of Oneida, NY. In June 1830 Grove Stoddard's widowed mother was living at Rupert, VT three months shy of her 80th birthday. Perhaps some diligent descendant will find the information that finally solves Joshua's whereabouts.
