Jane Catherine Cate Wintle, 89, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010, in Carrollton, Texas.Memorial services to be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2010, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Jane Wintle was born June 7, 1921, in Hinsdale, NH. A veteran of World War II, Jane, an Army nurse, was stationed in Japan aboard the U.S. Army hospital ship, St. Mihiel, and participated in the liberation of France.

She served proudly in the Army for more than 10 years. She was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post 19 in Somerville, MA, the VFW Post 4674 in Winner, SD and a lifelong charter member of The Colony Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

She is survived by her devoted husband, George D. Wintle Jr., her children, Cheryl Csayni of Clearwater, FL, Jacque Kaiser of Winner, SD and George D. Wintle III of Pipe Creek, TX; as well as five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Harley.
