Graveside services for Jack Bowman, 75, 406 Ferndale St., are scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday at Carlsbad Cemetery with Sanford Chandler officiating. Visitation is to be held from 1-9 p.m. Monday at Denton Funeral Home.

Bowman died Sunday (June 13, 1993) at home. He was born Dec. 21, 1917, in Flint, Mich. He married Helen Goad June 5, 1945, in Paul's Valley, Okla., and the couple moved to Carlsbad in 1946.

Bowman worked for National Potash Company for 26 years, retiring Feb. 2, 1982. He was a veteran of WW II in which he served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was an avid golfer and served as Course Marshall of the Municipal Golf Course for several years.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Louise Bowman, of Carlsbad; two sisters, Pauline Work of Bloomfield, Mich., and Benita Elder of Albuquerque; one nephew and three nieces.
