J.G. Anderson, 87, of Lexington died Sunday, January 15, 2006, in Purcell. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. today at Lexington Cemetery with the Rev. Barry McConathy officiating. Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell is handling arrangements. Mr. Anderson was born Jan. 23, 1918, north of Lexington. After high school graduation he began farming three miles north of Lexington. He married Amanda Barbara Horttor April 21, 1940. They moved to Norman in 1950 and moved north of Lexington in 1962. Mr. Anderson farmed and raised cattle. He also was a finish carpenter working on new construction and remodeling projects and retired after 15 years of service in the late 1970s. Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife Barbara "Bobbie" Anderson; son David Anderson and wife Martha; grandchildren Kim and husband Jeff Croslin, Chad Anderson and wife Carol and Jim Gilstrap; and great-grandchildren Kassidy, Blake, Kinley, Kylie and Alan.
