John O'Quinn, Jr. was born 21 Mar 1795 in Kershaw County, SC and died after 1870 in Angelina County, TX. He was the son of John O'Quin and Rhoda Horton. In about 1824, in Washington County, GA he married Candace Leaptrot (Liptrot). She was born in GA about 1807 and died in Angelina County, TX on 21 Jan 1867. Candace was the daughter of Aquilla Leaptrot and Milbrey (Milbra) Pearce. John Jr. and Candace are buried in the Walker Cemetery, Angelina County, TX. Their sixteen (?) children (not necessarily in chronological order):
