Wilma Blanchard LeJeune Leger
Welsh - Funeral services Wilma M. LeJeune Leger, 66, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 6, in Hixon Funeral Home. The Rev Heriberto Garcia will officiate. Burial will be in Our Lady of Seven Dolars Cemetery. Visitation is 1 to 10 p.m., today, with a 7 p.m. rosary.and from 8 a.m. Saturday. Mrs. Leger died Thursday, March 4, 1999 in Jennings American Legion Hospital. She was a native of Church Point and had lived most of her life in Welsh.
Survivors include her husband, Alva Leger of Welsh. (Iry LeJeune & Wilma's children) Four sons;: Ervin LeJeune of Lake Charles, Eddie Lee LeJeune of Morse, Willie LeJeune of Jennings and James LeJeune of Welsh.; two daughters: Elsie (LeJeune) Richard & husband James of Morse, Mrs. Terry (Paula Sue) LeJeune of Jennings. One stepdaughter, Joyce Leger of Biloxi, Mississippi, One brother, John B. Blanchard of Welsh. Two sisters, Francis Blanchard Ardoin & Anais Cormier, both of Welsh. 22 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Wilma was daughter of Sidolin "Fedo" Blanchard and Adelina LeJeune.
Fedo Blanchard and my father-in-law were first cousins.
