BREWER
Services for former Carlsbad resident Willie L. Brewer, 81, San Diego, Calif., are pending with West Funeral Home. He died Saturday in a San Diego hospital.
He was born June 18, 1905, in Marshall, Texas, and married the late Bertha Runnels in Altus, Okla., on Dec. 11, 1947. They lived in Carlsbad for many years. After the death of his wife in 1984, he moved to California, where he lived with his daughter. He was a member of the New San Jose Church of Christ.
He is survived by three sons, Phillip and Gene Runnels, both of Carlsbad, and Donnie Lee Brewer, Altadena, Calif.; two daughters, Jayne Jones, San Diego, and Gertrude Hart, Dallas, Texas; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Service is to be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the West Funeral Home Chapel for Willie L. Brewer, 81, of San Diego, Calif, who died there April 18.
Brother James Quarles of the New San Jose Church of Christ is to officiate, with burial scheduled to follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.
Pallbearers are to be be Darnell Mason, Robert Mason, Lee Richards, Wallace Dodson, Al Campos and Kino Santana.
