A graveside service will follow at Edgewood Cemetery in North Little Rock. A Masonic service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday prior to the family receiving friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home, Conway.

Mr. Shelby was born August 30, 1916 in Begota, TX to the late Gus and Essie Dee Prentice Shelby. He was also preceded in death by two brothers Roy and Junior Shelby.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 66 years Lena Shelby, two daughters Vaunda Sledge and her husband Danny, Wanda Mealler all of El Paso, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, fourteen great-great-grandchildren, three sisters, Doris Kobb, Francis Sisemore, Betty Sue Bybee and her husband Bob, one brother Sammy Shelby-Townsend, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends.

Prentice was a devoted Christian who attended church at First Assembly of God in Vilonia. He was Chaplain of El Paso Lodge #65 F. & A.M. and was a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite. Everyone that came in contact with him was touched with so much love and compassion. He had a smile and a laugh that would light up everyone's life.

The family would like to extend a deep appreciation and thanks to the nurses and doctors at St. Vincent's CVICU Hospital Unit for our husband and daddy for their loving care and compassion.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
