Alberta Louise Peyton was the oldest child of John Milton Peyton and Elizabeth Jane Betzer. They are buried in this cemetery. Alberta was married to Reuben Justus Butterfield on July 4, 1889 in Walker, Linn County, Iowa. They were parents of five children but were divorced later. Children: Clarence Justus Butterfield born April 9, 1891; Cora Belle (Butterfield) Allen born December 4, 1891; Willard John Butterfield born November 11, 1893; Rita (Butterfield) Steele born April 14, 1899; Gerald Peyton Butterfield born January 23, 1907; Kenneth John Butterfield born November 13, 1909. Reuben is buried on this lot.

~0bit~Mrs. Alberta Butterfield died early Sunday at the home of her son, Gerald Butterfield, following a long illness. She was born 84 years ago near Troy Mills. Surviving are four children, Clarence of Quasqueton, Kenneth of Anamosa, Gerald of Bertram, and Mrs. Cora Allen, of Cedar Rapids. Also, a number of grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 in the Methodist Church with burial in the family lot in the Walker cemetery.
