Edgar Ray Burrell

Edgar Ray Burrell, 76, of Durant died October 1, 2003 at his residence. Services were Saturday, October 4, 2003 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Seneasha Cemetery in Goodman. Rev. Alburn Beatty officiated.

Mr. Burrell was a retired conductor for the Illinois Central Railroad and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Seneasha Methodist Church. Mr. Burrell was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen McNeer.

Survivors include: wife, Mary Sue Neece Burrell of Durant; one daughter Brenda Collins of Kosciusko; two sons, Ricky Burrell of Miden, Louisiana and James Burrell of Kosciusko; one brother Ode Burrell of Gautier; three sisters, Dot Hines and Carrie Ferguson both of Durant, and Matha Ainsworth of Blackhawk; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were: Eddie Collins, Jr., Greg Collins, Chris Burrell, Allen Burrell, Corey Burrell, and Stevie Everett.

Honorary pallbearers were: Blake McNeer and Jimmy Ray Everett.
