Mrs. Gertrude BALL, 84, R.R. 2, Akron, died at 2 a.m. today in the Greencroft nursing home in Goshen.
She was born May 11, 1890 in Fulton county to Ora and Delilah [ZOLMAN] LEECH. Her marriage was to Howard BALL. He died in 1935. She had lived all her life in the Akron community.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Leo (Mary) ADAMS, R.R. 2, Akron, and Ms. Beatrice GRIFFIS, Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mary DUKES, Warsaw.
Final rites will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Haupert funeral home in Akron. The Rev. Peter HANSTRA will officiate. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
