CURVIN H. ALLEWELT
Curvin Henry Allewelt, 80, of 202 Broadway, died yesterday at 6:02 p.m. in the Hanover General hospital, where he had been a patient for the past three weeks.
He was a son of the late Levi and Henrietta Albright Allewelt. His wife, Mrs. Lottie I. Thomas Allewelt, died Jan. 28, 1957.
He was a member of Emmanuel Reformed church; a life member of Paqtmos Lodge, 348, F. and A.M.; Zembo Temple; Loyal Order of Moose, 227; Hanover Fire Company 1; 50-year member of Knights of Pythias and Hanover Republican club.
Mr. Allewelt was associated with the Hanover Shoe, Inc. for the past 56 years.
Surviving are four children, Henrietta M. Allewelt, Philadelphia; Mrs. Isabel R. Herr, at home; Arthur L. Allewelt, West Chester and Edwin A. Allewelt, Sr., 323 Second avenue, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Panebaker Funeral home, 311 Broadway. His pastor, Rev. Dr. Nevin E. Smith, will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
