Funeral Services for Bennett Ford Christian were held in Pine River Saturday, August 11th. Final rites were spoken at the Northland Funeral Chapel, with Reverend A.E. Hook officiating. Interment was in the Pine River Cemetary.

Mr. Christian, who was a resident of Pine River for over 42 years, was highly regarded. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and an ardent worker in the Pine River 20 year club. His sudden death on Tuesday, August 7th, was a shock to his many friends as well as his bereaved family.

He was born in Tarkio, Missouri June 14th, 1879 to Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Christian. He was united in marriage to Miss Minnie Bowman February 13th, 1903, the couple moving to Pine River in 1909 and have lived there since.

Surviving members of his family are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. James Geary, Pine River, three sons, Wayne of Philadelphia, Blaine, Portland, Oregon, and Dean, Long Beach, California besides grandchildren and hosts of friends.
