Ninner Bradley Barnes, 91, of 3579 Mt. Olivet Road, Martinsville, died Friday, March 24, 2006, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
She was born in Sydnorsville on June 10, 1914, to James Otis Bradley and Berta Whitlow Bradley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard E. Barnes; four sisters, Mae Young, Bertha Young, Viola McGuire and Mildred Reed; two brothers, J.D. Bradley and Virgil Bradley; and a grandson, John Michael Barnes.
She retired from Belk and was a member of McCabe Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca Lacey of Biloxi, Miss.; three sons, Roger L. Barnes of Martinsville, Donald N. Barnes of Welcome, N.C., and Terrell R. Barnes of Lynchburg; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at McCabe Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Lewis Harris officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Norris Funeral Services and other times at the home.
