William F. Dayton, a resident of Dingle for more than forty years, died suddenly at his home Monday morning from a stroke of apoplexy. He had apparently been as well as usual and his sudden death was a shock to his friends and relatives, by whom he was highly esteemed. Mr. Dayton was a prominent farmer and stockman and was well known throughout the valley.

He was 57 years of age and is survived by one daughter and three sons, Mrs. Maggie Hughes of Salt Lake City; Freeman and Keaton Dayton of Dingle, Leland Dayton of Magna, Utah. He is also survived by three brothers, Henry Elmo, and Marvin Dayton of Dingle and the following half sisters and brothers, Mrs. Ed Nate of Dingle, Mrs. Wm. Quayle of Salt Lake City, F. M. Dayton of Salt Lake; Theodore Dayton of Montpelier and Hyrum Dayton of Dingle.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Chapel in Dingle.
