Albert was a retired Warren Twp. school bus driver of 18 years, and a retired framer. He was born on March 30, 1902, in Verrebroek, Belgium, to Ernest Laurentius and Emma Maria (Adreanssens) Laureys. The family moved to the U.S. in 1909, and Albert had lived in the New Carlisle area since.
On Feb. 21, 1928, he married Ethel R. Kring, who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Elizabeth J. Blendeman of New Carlisle: two sons, John P. and Gerard W., both of New Carlisle: six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: a half-sister, Martha Vitnick, and a half-brother, Armand, both of Chicago. Al was a life time member of the Saint Joseph county Farm Bureau.
