Roger Duane Holst, age 83, formerly of Midland passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Silver Stone Home, Denton. He was born on July 23, 1927 in Vale, SD to Ernest and Dora (Trigg) Holst. He married M. Alma (Rose) Holst on June 21, 1951 in Rapid City, SD. He worked in oil exploration as a seismologist and retired from Dawson Geophysical. He is survived by his wife, M. Alma (Rose) Holst and his four children: Diana Reaves and husband Bernard (Jack) of Aubrey; Duane Holst of Midland; Debra Holst of Dallas, and Dawne Holst Adamson of Roseville, CA and four grandchildren: Troy Reaves of Flower Mound, Denise Chambers of Denton, Michael Gratzinger of Bluffdale, Utah and Michelle Ross of Washington, D.C. and five great-grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel at 4805 Gateway in Midland on Saturday, December 11th to celebrate his life. There will be a gravesite ceremony May, 2011 at the Rose Cemetery, SD.
