Josie Absalon, 95, of Ord died Saturday, December 25, 2010, at the Valley View Living Center in Ord. Josie was born Aug. 25, 1915, at Ord to Joseph and Louise (Zdrahal) Absalon.

Survivors are: brother-in-law, Jerry Faimon of Ord; sister-in-law, Adeline Absalon of Falls Church, Va and a host of friends and relatives

Josie received her education in rural Valley County. Josie did domestic work in the area and worked as a cook in many Ord Restaurants. She resided at Parkview Village for over 30 years. For the last several years she has made her home at the Valley View Living Center in Ord.

Josie was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and she enjoyed cooking.

Josie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frank, Louie, Joe and Stanley Absalon; two infant brothers and sisters, Frances Absalon, Celia Blaha, Albina Gransgaard and Bessie Faimon.
