Services for E. S. "Bud" Bassett, 62, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Riser & Son Funeral Home in Columbia with the Rev. Lavelle Crain officiating.

Burial was at the Little Star Cemetery near Kelly.

Mr. Bassett died Saturday in his home after a short illness.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Carrie Dale Bassett; five sons, Larry Bassett, Ricky Bassett and Robert Bassett, all of Grayson, Billy Bassett of Jena and Mike Bassett of Columbia; three daughters, Mrs. Gayle Dortch of Olla, Mrs. Joyce Price of Grayson and Mrs. Mary Knight of Guam; three brothers, Alfred Bassett of Mobile, Ala., James Bassett, Jr., of Union, Miss., and Don Bassett of Dunnellon, Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. Arlittia McKee of Union, Miss., and Mrs. Mollie Patterson, Mrs. Leona Mixon and Mrs. Elaine Prestridge, all of Kelly; and 10 grandchildren.
