Graveside service for Thelma Jo Oakley Hearn, 86, of Brandon were held Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery in Ebenezer with Bro. Billy Barron officiating.
Mrs. Hearn died at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood on Sunday, September 18.
She was born in Watertown, Tennessee on February 11, 1919, the daughter of the late Harvey Judson Oakley and Ester Matheny Oakley. She had taught school in the Baltimore County, Maryland School System. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Brandon.
Survivors include her son, John H. Hearn of Brandon, a sister, Edna Bounds of Brandon, and two grandchildren.
