Iris W. Howard, 90, of Champaign, formerly of Momence, died Sunday (Dec. 26, 2010). Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday until the 11 a.m. funeral services at the Momence Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Chris Rhodes will officiate.
Burial will be in Momence Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Momence.
Mrs. Howard was an employee of the former Carter-Wallace in Momence.
She was born Feb. 26, 1920, in Momence, the daughter of Ira E. and Martha A. Conrad Nagle. Her husband, Walter Howard, whom she married in July 1938, in Momence, died in 1972.
She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church of Momence. She enjoyed spending time tending to her flower and vegetable gardens.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Diane Howard, of Springfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Dallas Hertz, of Mahomet; three grandchildren, Elizabeth (William) Small, Trisha (Chris) Rhodes, Tim Howard and four great-grandchildren; one sister, June Hamman; and two sisters-in-law, Ruby Nagle of Bourbonnais, and Betty Nagle, of Minneapolis, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Conrad and Bud Nagle; and one brother-in-law, Carl Hamman.
