Additionally she counseled many of here neighborhood troubled teens, some of whom have expressed their gratitude in recent years. She was also a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lansdale, PA and active in the church altar society. Reading was Jane's passion though she was unable to pursue higher education due to the depression era in which she grew up.
In 1935, she married Henry G. Glebe in Collegeville, PA. The couple made their home in Lansdale, PA where they resided until they moved to Camden, Maine in 1985. Jane had a variety of jobs but was primarily a housewife and devoted mother.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Henry G. Glebe and by their only daughter, Christine J. Rydell of St. George. Her remains will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Camden. (Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins on-line)
