Irene Lenora Tyner was born 23 Sep 1899 in Princeton, North Carolina, a daughter of Rufus Daniel and Bedie Eason Tyner. As a baby she and her family were forced to leave their native North Carolina after joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They settled in Lehi, Utah around 1900. After living in Lehi for several years she and her family moved to Brigham City, Utah.

On 23 May 1917 Irene married Daniel Walters Bradshaw in the Salt Lake LDS Temple settling in Tremonton, Utah. To this union were born five children: Daniel Walters Jr., Helen Irene, Marie, Lillian Rae, and Georgia.

In 1942 she and her husband moved to Roy, Utah where she lived for over 50 years. She was very active in her church serving on the Lakeview YWMIA Stake board and had worked in the ward Sunday School, Primary and Relief Society.

As a result of the death of her only son Lt. Daniel Walters Bradshaw Jr. in World War II in 1945, she was honored by the United States government as a Gold Star Mother. She kept her Gold Star Ribbon hanging in her window in memory of her son for many years after his death. In the early 1950's after her first four children had left the nest, she became the oldest woman in Utah to give birth.

She died at age 90 at the South Valley Health Center in West Jordan, Utah of causes incident to age.
