The 1880 census list a Thomas Rice, age 24, living in Newton County Georgia married to A.E. Rice, age 21. He would have been born in 1856, and she would have been born in 1859.
They have two children, C.L Rice, Female age 3, and Maude, Female age 9 months.
The Rice's live in the home of G.W. Lackey, Dwelling and Family Number 87, in the 1249 GMD.
The 1900 census, Newton County, Georgia, Stansell District list the Tom Rice family living in Dwelling 304 and Family 317.
Tom is listed as being born in 1860 and being 40 years old. Ann is listed as being born in 1859 and being 39 years old. His age is off but Ann's is the correct year but wrong age.
Also they are listed as having 9 kids with 9 living. But only 7 are named. The two from the 1880 census are missing. However the 7 listed were named as brothers and sisters to Robert Samuel Rice, aka Uncle Sam, by Sam's sons Jerry and Jack. Sam is also listed as the fifth child in this census and his birth year is 1893 and he was 7 years old.
The family is listed as both black and white with one letter being written over the other.

There is a Henry Rice living next door which might be one of the children from the 1900 census.
Also the son of Joel Thomas Rice, Robert Samuel Rice is living just a few houses away with the William Pressley family (D285.F294)
And next door to them are the Overton Family where Carrie Overton lives. She Married Sam Rice.
Also of note is that Carrie's brother's wife was said to be a distant cousin to Elvis Pressley.

There is a Johnny Hentley living with the family but no chilldren are listed.
Of note is that Annie full name is Lucy Annie Rowe Rice, the daughter of Mark Rowe and Louise Caldwell.
Also both Annie and Thomas are listed as born in Georgia in every census and so are their parents.
