George Damour Dies In Atlanta
Relatives and friends here were sorry to learn of the death of Mr. George Damour, 58 years of age, president of the Adair Realty & Loan Company, which occurred at St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta Wednesday night at 7 o'clock.
Mr. Damour married Miss Cleo Carmichael, of Jackson, and was well known in Jackson where he often visited. At the time of going to press funeral arrangements had not been announced. Mr. Damour was stricken with appendicitis Friday and an operation was performed that night.
He was a son of Mrs. Laura Jones Damour, of Macon, and the late C. E. Damour. He was born in Macon and educated in the schools of that city, later graduating from the University of Georgia. Following a business career in Macon he went to Atlanta and became associated with the insurance department of the Adair Realty & Loan Company. About ten years ago he was made president of the company. Mr. Damour was a member of the Capital City Club, St. Mark Methodist church and the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
He is survived by his wife and mother and a sister, Mrs. John Watt, of Thomasville, and a brother, Edward Damour.

Funeral Services Held for Mr. Damour Friday
Funeral services for Mr. George Damour, 48 years of age, president of Adair Realty & Loan Company and widely known Atlanta business man, whose death occurred February 22, were held Friday: morning at 11:30 at Spring Hill. Dr. Lester Rumble and Dr. Ryland Knight officiated and interment was in West View cemetery. Mr. Damour's death followed an illness of a few days and resulted from complications that developed from an operation.
Mr. Damour is survived by his wife, the former Miss Cleo Carmichael, of Jackson; his mother, Mrs. Laura Jones Damour, of Macon; a sister, Mrs. John Watt, of Thomasville, and a brother, Mr, Edward Damour, of Macon.
