Son of Peter Quin and Judith Robinson. He married Elizabeth Graham in 1813 sister of Mary Graham who married his brother Richard Quin. Henry Quin moved from North Carolina to Pike County Mississippi prior to 1811 and had seven children, three sons and four daughters. The children were: Peter Graham Quin (1814-1869 in LA), Minerva Caroline Quin Garner Cain (1816-1890; memorial# 7139939), Amanda R. Quin Garner (about 1819-?), Mary Adaline Quin Garner (about 1822-?), Elizabeth Hugh Quin Wroten (about 1825-?), Arthur Graham Quin (about 1827-?) and Henry Graham Quin (1830-1890).

He was a Captain in the 13th Regt Miss Militia in the War of 1812. Henry's home built in 1811 was the first painted house in Pike County, MS and is still standing. The Henry Quin homestead and grave lie near the entrance to the Percy Quin State Park, named for Henry Quin's grandson who served as a United States Congressman.
