Long illness proves fatal. - Mrs Martha Chenoweth expires at home at Losantville.
Mrs MARTHA GAINES CHENOWETH, 60, died at her home in Losantville Wednesday at 4:15 am after an illness of several months.
She had been employed as a primary teacher and would have resumed the same position this year if she had not been ill. Mrs Chenoweth had taught in the schools of Randolph county for 24 years mostly engaging in primary work.
Mrs Chenoweth was the widow of John Chenoweth and is survived by her mother, Mrs Zerelda Gaines, one sister, Mrs Gail (Florence) Moore of Muncie, and one brother, Francis L Gaines of Huntsville.
She was a member of the Losantville Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Women's Christian Temperance Union.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm (CST) Friday at the Losantville Methodist Church with Rev Blythe Whiley of Sweetsers in charge. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery at Losantville. The body was taken to the Reynard funeral home in Modoc for burial preparation and will be returned to the home this morning.
