He is survived by his wife, Tina Clayton-Crawford; sons Derrick and Danah Crawford, step-son Derek Clayton and step-daughter Courtney Clayton.

Robert was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in Desert Storm. Robert was a caring helper to many people and always had an open door for anyone in need.

A memorial gathering was held at Family Choice Funerals and Cremations, 5401 Indian River Rd., Virginia Beach, Va. on Saturday January 8, 2011.
