Berdyne Anderson Elder, 82, of Springville, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gardner Cemetery with T. Joe Walker officiating. Murphy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Friends may assemble in the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. There will be no visitation. Ricky Elder, Michael Elder, David Elder and Bobby Smith will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Elder was born June 21, 1926, in Davidson, Mich., daughter of the late Joe Anderson. She was retired from A. C. Spark Plug Co. in Flint, Mich. Survivors include her husband, Thomas E.
