C. Gordon Cleveland, of Alabaster, AL went to be with His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, December 31, 2010. He was born July 10, 1937, in Bradford, PA, to Clifford G. and Marjorie V. (Warner) Cleveland. In 1959, he married E. Louise (Meyers) Cleveland who survives. Mr. Cleveland was a graduate of Smethport High School in 1955, of Philadelphia Bible Institute in 1958, and of Philadelphia College of the Bible in 1959. Graduate studies were ensuing years at Faith Theological Seminary in Elkins Park, PA, and at Baptist Bible College of Clarks Summit, PA. He served in the pastoral ministry in four states- Delaware, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and New York- as a faithful shepherd and pastor-teacher. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and two sons: Deborah Cleveland Clarke of Alabaster, AL. (husband Doug), Rebecca Cleveland Wisehart of Gibsonburg, Ohio (husband Tim), Stephen Cleveland of Ridgway, PA, and Timothy Cleveland of Claysburg, PA (wife Melissa). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren: Benjamin Clarke (wife Rebecca), Jonathan Clarke, Elizabeth Moore (husband Kalab), Kristi Wisehart, Kailee Wisehart, Kerrie Wisehart, and Lucas Wisehart, Justin Cleveland, Stephanie Cleveland, Allie Cleveland, Zachary Cleveland, and Gianna Cleveland. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Marjorie Cleveland, and one son, Jonathan Meyers Cleveland. The family will receive quest at Charter Funeral Home in Calera, AL on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Friends may be received at the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Home in Smethport, PA on Wednesday from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service following at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Tim Wisehart will officiate. Burial will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Smethport, PA.
