Mr. Heasley was the son of Charles Heasley, deceased, and Sadie McIlhatten Heasley Glass of Waynesburg, and was born March 20, 1915, in Fairview, W. Va. He graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1933 and then attended Pennsylvania State University.
Mr. Heasley had resided in Waynesburg all his life with the exception of three years in Vero Beach, Florida.
For the past eight years, Mr. Heasley was owner and operator of Heasley's Clothing Store for Men on High Street.
He was prominent in public affairs, having served several years as president of the Waynesburg Chamber of Commerce and in 1959 as Greene County chairman of the Heart Fund campaign. He was also active in Waynesburg Lodge No. 757, B. P. O. E., the Waynesburg Moose Lodge, Waynesburg Rotary Club, Greene County Country Club and the Waynesburg Sportsmen's Club.
In the Masonic order he held the 32nd degree and was a member of Waynesburg Lodge No. 153, Syria Shrine in Pittsburgh, and the Morgantown W. Va. Shrine.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Jane Hoskinson Heasley; his mother; two daughters, Barbara, wife of Ronald Weimer of Watertown, Mass., and Charlotte, wife of William Minehart of Waynesburg; one son, Charles Heasley, at home, and two grandchildren.
