A funeral service in celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service PC, 175 N. Main St. Spring Grove with Rev. John A. Szada, Jr. officiating. He will be laid to rest follow the service at St. Jacob's Stone Church cemetery in Glenville. Viewings will be held on Monday from 6-8 pm and on Tuesday from 9-10 am at the funeral home.
Scott was born in York on April 9, 1962. He graduated from York County Vo-Tech and worked in construction as a supervisor with Appleby Window Systems. He was a member of the McSherrystown Home and The Hanover Area Parrot Head Society. Scott enjoyed camping but cherished the time he spent on his motorcycle.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Robert P. Day and wife Nicole of Glen Rock and Seth B. Thoman of Thomasville; his granddaughter Makenzie Day of Glen Rock; his father Charles W. Thoman and wife Sally of Hanover; his mother Judy L. Hilker Angel and husband Charles of York; his maternal grandfather Clyde Hilker of York; his maternal grandmother DeEtta Shue of Dover; his sisters Melissa A. Thoman Altland and husband Drue of Spring Grove, Sandra Laughman Lauer and husband Ernest of Spring Grove and Danielle M. Thoman Klinedinst of Hanover. He is also survived by 9 nephews and 3 nieces. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents William and Mable Thoman and his brother-in-law David Kline.
