Born in Hycklinge Parish, Östergötlands län, Sweden to Charlotta Frances (Peterson) Abrahamson. Born out of wedlock, Alfred's father is unknown at the time, Alfred took his step fathers last name.

Alfred Abrahamson was born in Sweden July 3 1862 and passed away February 26 1939, at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 23 days.

He came to St. Charles, Illinois, at the age of 2 years. In 1878 he moved to Phelps county in March, then going to Custer county where he spent several years before moving to Holdrege in 1903 where he has resided ever since.

He worked for Nels Kronquest for 20 years, later following the line of draying until his retirement about eight years ago. His health having failed the last year, he has been bedfast since October 28.

Mr. Abrahamson was married December 8, 1884 near Axtell, Nebraska, to Leurenda Adirene Sater. Two children were born to this union, one dying in infancy and Jessie Lattimer who passed away August 17, 1903, at the age of 13 years.

He leaves to mourn one brother, Abner Abrahamson, of Lake Nebagamon, Wisconsin, and three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Hicks of Eugene, Oregon, Mrs. Ruth Lindquist of Holdrege and Mrs. Mabel Green of Nampa, Idaho, besides several nieces and nephews.
