Eli A. Cowan, age 81, of Berkley, Michigan, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Danto Family Health Care Center, West Bloomfield. He was born October 30, 1928 in Pennsylvania to Charles Cowan and Anna Cowan
Mr. Cowan had worked at Bower Roller Bearing, Ben P. Fyke & Sons, the Grapevine and Durst Lumber. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horse shoes, golf, bingo and his tomato garden.
Surviving were his wife, Gertrude Cowan, whom he married July 24, 1948 in Berkley; children, Sharon Cowan, Charles Cowan, Janette (Gary) Snyder, Harvey (Nancy) Cowan, Patrick (Debbie) Cowan, Barry (Patricia) Cowan, Mary (John) Sharpe and Emery Cowan; daughter in law, Debi Cowan; siblings, Ruth, Betty and James and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Larry Cowan and Eli Cowan Jr.
