GRUNEISEN, WAUNEDA DENNISON, 94, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Nazareth Home. She was born December 18, 1916 to the late Kearney C. and Lorena Kraus Dennison. She was a retired school teacher with Head Start, and the J.C.P.S. She was a devout Catholic, and took active roles over the years with St. Elizabeth of Hungary, St. Stephen Martyr, and St. Barnabas Churches. She was a former member of the Sweet Adelines, Golden Key Club, and Silver Notes. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend. She was preceded by her brother, Marvin; her infant daughter, Mary Ann; husband, Samuel J. Gruneisen; her brother; Kenneth, and her son; Ronald. A Mass to celebrate Wauneda's life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 1020 E. Burnett Ave., with burial at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Arch L. Heady-Russman & Sons Funeral Home, 1201 E. Oak St. Expressions are requested to: Nazareth Home or St. Elizabeth Church.
